This saves you money off unplanned parking, and it does not take long to get to the terminal by the dedicated bus-transfer system. The only problem is to remember 1 which bus-stop to get off at when you fly home again 2 where you parked the car - I recommend tying a brightly coloured rag to the aerial so you can pick out your car when you are tired. Write down both these details eg bus-stop 7, and c5 facing d7 top of the hill, and you will return happily to your car and home again.
Slick on line booking process spoilt by poor customer support when problems with the booking code were expereinced when leaving the car park.
Used the cheapest carpark choice which is the furthest away from the actual terminals. However it appeared to be very secure, had excellent roadways, good size spaces & from what I saw none were very far from the free bus stop shelters. We waited no time for the bus to arrive and it was just over a 5min trip to the terminals. On our return just a short walk to the bus stop which in actual fact was less distance away than the more expensive parking zones. Again no long wait for the bus. The only cause for concern was the toilet facilities in th carpark which even after a long journey I could not bring myself to use. I was very glad that the bus was prompt and the trip to the terminals was as short as it was.
We were not happy about our Stansted flights being cancelled as we live so close to this airport, and this was our first experience of Birmingham International. We booked our parking on line (very easy), and printed off our paperwork. This was cheaper than any other airport parking we have previously used, and MUCH chepaer than Stansted or Heathrow! We sailed through and found a space easily. All was in order when we returned and a HUMAN answered the intercom where we quoted our reference and went on our way. After a long delay at Luton airport we found that we couldn't leave the car park to go home as no one would answer the intercom to raise the barriers! We were very impressed with the level of service we experienced - particularly in light of the fact that the cost was so reasonable - WE WILL BE BACK!!
I paid for 5 days but due to an emergency at home, had to return after only 2 days. APH were paid £37 in advance, the exit price was £28, yet APH have not contacted ne to offer a credit against future parking, so I will not be using them in future.
The layout and lighting etc provides a feeling of security and alleviates any worries that you might have about the safety of your car. Everything is clearly marked and signposted and the courtesy bus is quick and convenient. The 10 minute journey to the terminal is actually only 10 minutes and not 30 minutes as with many off site parking facilties. A value for money faciltity where you can leave your car with confidence.
The directions to this car park were excellent. From parking the car to being took to the airport we were there within 10 - 15 minutes. Could not have asked for a more stress free service than this!! On returning the service again was efficient. Would definitely use this service again.
the car park was easy to find very convienent ad it was quiet close to the airport.we took a ticket parked up, and a bus was waiting.we were at the airport in minutes.coming back we stood at the bus stop for no more than a couple of minutes and a bus turned up to take us back to the car.cases in and we were on our way.getting out was no problem i pressed the button on the intercom at the barrier quoted the ref no we were given out. ther was no messing around will definetly use again a brilliant service. well done.
Not far from terminal and although buses were showing as "every 12 mins" they seemed to be much more frequent (Friday morning / Monday Evening).
Very easy to find from the M42. Parking a bit awkward do to other users not parking correctly bus staff very good and transfers to and from airport very easy
Great booking experience when used for the first time. will use again. The savings against the normal rates are staggering but do book as soon as you are sure of the dates.
Quick and easy to use. Only query was the signage didn't make it completely clear which bus stop was needed. So came out of airport feeling a bit lost. Everything fine once at right bus stop.
really good service better than the off airport parking by far and bus s all the time will definatly use it again an idea could be to allocate a numbered space to park in so you are are not looking endlessly for a space when in a hurry to catch a plane
This is the closest car park to the birmingham terminal and is actually within walking distance. The bus service every 12 minutes is great for people who don't want to or can't walk
This should be long term only and not 60 minutes free for short term. In addition, a tra nsfer bus every 12 minutes at peak times is insufficient.
The car park was easy to find after coming off the motorway, we had to wait for the bus no more than one minute to take us to the airport and it was already there on the way back. We would definately use this service again.
As mentioned in the Cons the car park is now being used for free short stay passenger pick up - presumably this is going to take up spaces and some of the parking looked pretty eratic. Not sure how you can have a "guaranteed" space if this is the case as how can you monitor what the numbers will be ?
Couldn't have been easier, the bus was waiting for us and the saving by booking on-line was well worth having.
Would further help if prebooked spaces could be alloctaed in named rows close to bus stops...make it less stressful driving around against the clock to find a space and then a close by bus stop.
This is the second time l have used the longstay at Birmingham and again it was fine, no hassle, just park and go the bus stop which is never far away and only wait a few moments for the bus to arrive and then only 5 mins to the terminal - a great stress free start to a holiday- thanks!
