Magalex Gatwick Parking

Mr H Jones, 08 Mar 07 As we approached the M23, we were delighted to receive a call informing us where the driver would be and even what she was wearing. Meet and Greet is so easy and puts you in the correct frame of mind for your holiday. I wouldn't consider any other parking arrangement. The return collection was just as efficient. We waited for less than 5 mins. for the car to be delivered. Excellent service all round.
Pros: Pleasant, well organised, efficient even at 0030hrs.

Mr Kelsey, 25 Feb 07 We were extremely disappointed with our experience of Magalex. Departure was fine, but it fell down when we returned to the UK. Our flight arrived at 1am and we wanted to be heading for home as soon as possible - with 2 school age children to get to school the next day every minute counted. We followed instructions and telephoned the number as soon as the bags for our flight started to come out onto the belt. The operator asked my wife how long we would be - as we didn't know (when would you know when the bag is going to pop onto the belt?) they said they would wait 5 minutes and then set off, it being 10 minutes to the terminal. Our bags arrived and we went outside - no car. Other valet car services were parked up in the given area and their owners were straight on their way home. We saw the APH bus arrive and leave for the car park - our car parking option on our previous trip. After 10 minutes we telephoned the number again and were told, no the operator had said we were to ring again when our bags had arrived. THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE HAD BEEN TOLD. We then waited another 17 minutes until our car arrived (we timed it). If we had used APH and saved ourselves £20 we would have been comfortably on our way. We were extremely disappointed with the service offered, there was not even an apology for the late arrival of our car. We will never use their service again.
Cons: Im afraid the service failed to deliver.

Mrs Wallis, 22 Feb 07 This was the most efficient and punctual Meet and Greet parking service we have ever used (and we have used a number). The driver was punctual, smart and efficient, and it made our journey home so much easier.
Pros: Punctuality & friendliness.

Mr Davies, 20 Feb 07 First time using this service, and on the whole a good experience. However there is no point being told to contact the service provider of any change to arrival time as it made no difference to the time the vehicle was collected (waiting for 15 mins).
Pros: Courteous staff.
Cons: Having rung the contact number to inform them of an earlier arrival time, we were kept waiting till the original time of collection; very frustrating as it was cold !

Mr Schol, 19 Feb 07 Glad you mailed us so we could send a response. First thing we tried to do on our return was to go on your web site to write a review, but couldn't see how to do it. Magalex's service was really EXCEPTIONAL. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. We were called as we were on the way to the airport so they could check where abouts we were. The man was there waiting for us and got us a trolley for our luggage and helped us load it. It was also the same man we saw on our return back to the UK with our car. We were more than pleased with the service and will be using them again. Many thanks to you all. We would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone wanting to use your service.
Pros: Pleasant and efficient service. Highly recommendable.

Ms Brown, 19 Feb 07 I travelled on the day the snow landed on us and the company called to see if all was ok. I had made it early to Gatwick and with no problem they came and met me early. Great service.

Mrs Wigens, 19 Feb 07 We arrived slightly earlier than anticipated, but having phoned 10 minutes before, the driver was waiting for us when we arrived at the terminal. We were 2 1/2 hours late getting back, but again no problem. We phoned when we'd collected our luggage and only had to wait 5 mins for car.
Pros: Not having to load luggage on and off buses. Not having to get into a cold car on return.

Miss Stanford, 12 Feb 07 The gentleman who picked the car up was very polite and friendly. I thought that the gentleman that dropped the car off should have asked for ID before giving the car keys to me. Also he did not give me the opportunity to check the car before he disappeared very quickly.
Pros: Excellent value for money.
Cons: Shame that you could not have car valeted.

Mr Skinner, 08 Feb 07 Very happy with the service and would definitely use Magalex again. The only thing to beware of is that if you arrive early for the drop-off (as we did) the parking wardens are very vigilant and will not let you wait outside the terminal building. However, Magalex were with us within 5 minutes (early too) so I have no complaints. On return, our bags took nearly an hour to come off the belt so the Magalex driver was waiting for us for about 30 minutes but they were very relaxed about it and fully understood that it was not our fault.
Pros: Helpful friendly staff, great value for money & no buses!

Mr Wyman, 08 Feb 07 Fantastic service; we had used a meet and greet before and were disappointed, but Magalex's service was first class...really importantly, the pick up driver was on time, which is great when there are loads of traffic wardens around who want to move you on!! Well done you guys. We will be using you again.

Mr Allon, 25 Jan 07 They phoned me an hour before my due arrival time to make sure everything was ok and explained meeting arrangements again - were waiting for me, helped with my luggage, were really courteous and professional. On my return I phoned and again they were ready & waiting, helped me again - reminded me I needed fuel and were absolutely perfect. One big headache off my plate - I will never park myself at an airport again. Shame they don't do Heathrow as well.
Pros: Excellent - waiting for me both ends of my trip.

Mr Barclay, 15 Jan 07 The hand over and return went perfectly even though my flight was delayed by 2 hours and I spent a further hour in customs sorting out my business items. Delighted with this and will use this service again.

Lucy H, 15 Jan 07 As my outbound flight time was 2 hours earlier than the slot I originally booked I was impressed with how easy it was to arrange for the car to be collected early. Unfortunately I was very disappointed by the service on my return; it took 4 phone calls over 15 mins to get any answer from the company & then a further 30 mins for my car to be returned. This may just be a one-off but was not the service I was expecting based on other reviews.
Pros: Very prompt collection, even though I arrived early.
Cons: Had to call 4 times to get a reply on return. Long wait for car.

Mr Giddins, 06 Jan 07 Friendly staff greeted us when we arrived at the airport to start our holiday, polite, helpful with bags, no fuss at all. Get bags out, hand keys over, go into terminal. No car parking stress at all. Brilliant. At the end of our holiday it was fab to not have to fight on and off transfer buses with bags then find the car- our lovely warm car arrived within two minutes of emerging from the terminal, bags in, go. As quick as that. Ace service - would recommend and use again.
Pros: Excellent service and value.

Mrs Frost, 03 Jan 07 Travelling with an elderly parent just before Christmas has many pitfalls! Fortunately, parking our car at Gatwick was not one of them. Despite a horribly early start, we were rung whilst on our way to check where we were and despite the enormous queues, our pick up driver arrived promptly. A fast hand over and we were able to join the scrum in the terminal. On the way back, a phone call from the luggage collection area brought our car back to us in about 20 minutes which was a bit longer than they said but our luggage was fast off the carousel so not their fault! I would use them again without question. The only comment I'd make is that mobile reception isn't good in the luggage area so be prepared to move around to get a signal.
Pros: Convenience, value for money, ease of use, friendliness of staff.
Cons: Could the staff wear a badge or sweatshirt to identify them more easily among the crowds please!
