Summer Special parking offers good security with flood lighting, regular patrols and dedicated disabled parking spaces. 7 min transfers to north terminal and 7 min transfers to south terminal that run every 20 minutes

Arrival Procedure
Hand in your car keys at reception, and fill out the car park security form. Your car will be safely parked for you.

Departure Procedure
From within the terminal complex follow signs to "Courtesy Coaches" and then "Long Term Parking Buses". Courtesy transfer coaches will pick you up from the Summer Special bus stops on the Upper Forecourt. Please ensure that the coach you take is going to the car park / zone that you require Once at Summer Special: If your booking reference is printed on the entry ticket, drive to the exit barriers and insert entry ticket to depart. If the word 'cashier' appears on the entry ticket, park outside the Summer Special customer service office to exchange your entry ticket and booking confirmation for an exit ticket .

Transfers to Gatwick Airport
Summer Special operate transfers to the South Terminal every 20 mins, 24 hrs a day. If you are flying from the North Terminal, you can take the Gatwick monorail service from the South Terminal.

Summer Special are holders of the Park Mark ® Safer Parking Award, initiated by the Association of Chief Police Officers, with security fencing, lighting, remote cameras, and regular patrols by staff and Sussex Police. What is the Park Mark award?

Summer Special indemnifies customers for damage resulting from any proven act or negligence on the part of its servants or agents.

Notes
If you wish to park a vehicle with trailer please book an extra space. IMPORTANT: As of 28th January 2008 until 07th April 2008, reconstruction work will be commencing on the Northern Perimeter Road. This may lead to short delays accessing and exiting the car park at certain times of the day. Please ensure that you allow extra time to reach the car park, before transferring to the terminal to catch your flight.

• Leave the M23 at Junction 9, taking the turning from the roundabout signed towards Gatwick
• Stay on inside lane and go straight on at the next roundabout you will join the north perimeter road
• Follow signs to "Summer Special car park" based near the North Terminal

Mr Todd, 06 Feb 08 Airport parking was new to me. I thought it was bound to be a hassle - wrong! We would definitely use this service again.
Pros: Simple stress free, helpful staff.

Lady In Fifties On Her Own, 02 Jan 08 Very easy to book, easy to find. Very efficient when checking in/out. Not sure how easy it would be to use the courtesy coach if it was full, as you have to get your cases on and off yourself.
Pros: Very easy to use. Very affordable.

Mr Chan, 15 Jan 07 I found the overall experience much better than other airport parking I have used. The car was moved yes but I found nothing wrong with the car and it was safe and sound when I picked it up.
Pros: What you wanted in a service, good transfer and clear instructions.

Mrs Lunn, 11 Jan 07 Drop off was great. Straight into car reception area and onto bus to the terminal, after leaving the keys for their staff to park our car. On return, we had to pick the keys up from reception and were told the location of our car, which we had to go and find. Not so easy when you've got luggage and are tired. Would have been nice if someone could have brought the car back to reception for us.
Pros: Easy, quick drop-off and transfer to the airport.
Cons: Had to go and find car on return after being given it's parked location.

Miss Ayres, 10 Jan 07 We were held up slightly in traffic on the M25 so were anxious to get to the terminal asap. We had no trouble at all finding the car park thanks to the clear signposting, dropped the keys at reception and were on a bus to the terminal within 15mins of arriving. With 2 young children in tow we couldn't have asked for more. Trouble-free and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Pros: Easy to find, quick efficient friendly service and transfers. Great value for money. Would use again definitely.

Miss Sanders, 10 Jan 07 When I checked the car in everything was lovely and the girls were lovely. When I returned, after a six hour delay and explained the situation, the woman said that I would have to pay for an extra day. Thankfully I didn't have to pay but I was not impressed with her attitude.
Cons: Only travels from south terminal.

Mr Prewett, 10 Jan 07 Very well organised, The carpark clearly states that up to 7 miles will be added on the clock, but it would be comforting to see images of where the car is sent too. Plus how qualified are the drivers and what protection against damage there is on offer.
Pros: Convenient and well sign posted.
Cons: I would prefer to park and lock the car myself.

Mr Wooldridge, 10 Jan 07 Travelling with a young child and many bags + buggy is usually quite a stressful experience, but on both the bus journeys the driver loaded all our suitcases for us. This made a nice change.
Pros: Friendly and helpful bus drivers.

Mr N., 09 Jan 07 Very simple process of dropping off and picking up car. Great price in comparison to other parking stations. Only issue was the wait for coach on return, 20plus minutes. But this was still in line with what they advised. Just not great when you are keen to get home after your trip.
Pros: Price.
Cons: Waiting time at airport for coach.

Mrs Philcox, 06 Jan 07 The car park is well signposted and instructions are clear once you enter the car park. Staff were helpful and explained what to do. The bus to the terminal runs every 20 mins so we had a bit of a wait but overall we had a positive experience.
Pros: Easy to find.

Mr Barnes, 03 Jan 07 We have used Summer Special's car parking service a couple of times. We live about 2.15 hours away from their car park, but each time when we have travelled, everything has been organised smoothly and the transfer to the terminal has been fast.
Pros: Handy online booking facilities, helpful check-in staff, well planned check-in and out procedure, fast transfer (no big intervals).
