Summer Special parking

Mr Muckleston, 13 Dec 06 The car park was a bit further from the South Terminal entry roundabout than we expected and signposts were a bit difficult to spot in the dark. Once there however you could park right outside reception, fill in a small form and hand over your key with your booking slip all within a couple of minutes. Buses to the South Terminal left every 20 minutes and took approx 7 or 8 minutes to arrive there. On our return the bus was waiting at the original drop off point and within 10 minutes we were back at the car park reception. It took around 5 more minutes to get our key, find our car and head for home. All in all, an excellent, efficient and friendly service and great value for on-airport parking. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.
Pros: Easy to book, 2 minutes to complete arrival form, 5 minutes to get keys and find car on return.
Cons: Signposting a bit small, especially if arriving in the dark. You may have to wait 20 minutes for a bus if one has just left.

Mrs Read, 11 Dec 06 We found this parking facility excellent. We had no problems finding it, the reception staff were excellent and very cheery, and the buses were ready and waiting for us and only took a few minutes to get to Gatwick. I would definitely use Summer Special parking again!
Pros: Excellent reception staff.

Mrs Walker, 07 Sep 06 We were held up in traffic on our way to Gatwick airport parking and therefore arrived at the car park later than anticipated, which meant we really wanted to book in and get on the coach as quick as possible. This was not a problem, a very simple check in and hopped straight on to the courtesy coach.
Pros: Good safe parking close to the terminal.
Cons: Transfers could have been a little more frequent.

Mrs Townsend, 07 Sep 06 Everything was fine. Buses ran frequently and clear to see when returning. The staff were all very friendly.

Miss Mann, 06 Sep 06 When I arrived at the parking facilities the staff were friendly and helpful, with a bus coming along very quickly to transfer me to the terminal and then on my return there was no messing around with calling ahead when landing, a bus just came along to pick me up within 15 minutes of my arival at the bus stop. My car was very easily located within the clearly marked bays and the whole event was hassle free.

Mr Jackson, 18 Aug 06 The signs were good, the processing was efficient and the transfer to and from Gatwick south terminal worked well.
Pros: Speedy and close to the terminal.
Cons: No transfer to North Terminal.

Mrs Lynch, 01 Aug 06 This was as good as any airport parking and transfer I have experienced, but made better by the fact that it was so close and convenient. Checking in was easy and transfer to the airport was quick. The driver was very helpful and pleasant. On return, the wait for the coach was about 15 minutes but there was no proper queueing system so there were a few complaints as those who were just arriving piled on in front of those who were slower and had been queueing with children etc. but other than this, an extremely positive experience.
Pros: Close and convenient, easy procedures.
Cons: Wait for coach and finding car.

Mr Jane, 06 Jul 06 Simple directions, very easy to find. We did not have to wait long for the buses either to or from the airport. Altogether a very relaxing start and end to our holiday.
Pros: Everything.

Mr Bray, 06 Jul 06 Really excellent and will definitely use again. Quick and simple, easy to unload with no lugging cases to a bus stop. Loads of friendly, helpful staff. This is the way forward for airport parking.
Pros: No long walks to bus station, no risk of forgetting where the car is.

Miss Orford, 06 Jul 06 Everything was great, easy to book, very convenient, will be using this service again. Peace of mind knowing your car is safe, other than at home not knowing what could happen to it. You couldn't ask for more.

Mrs Robinson, 21 Mar 06 Buses are despatched every half hour from the parking site and therefore if you are airport end and you miss one by minutes it would be 30 minutes until the next one. On the advantages it is close to the airport and very easy to locate.
Pros: Very close to the airport - transfer very quick.
Cons: Had to wait 30 minutes for a transfer bus coming back.

Mr Wale, 17 Mar 06 Car was parked for us. Office staff very good and explained what to do next told us and when the bus was due. Our holiday started then.
Pros: Car was taken from us and parked.

Mr Anderson, 22 Feb 06 Bus transfer from the airport was very busy - acknowledge it was a busy time of day. We were first at the bus stop having just missed a bus and when the next bus arrived everyone was left to pile on with cases etc. Fortunately our children were old enough to fend for themselves but anyone trying to deal with young children, pushchairs and luggage would not have stood a chance. Some form of queueing system would have been a significant advantage.
Pros: Excellent value for money - cheapest carpark at Gatwick by far this time
Cons: Bus transfer back from the airport very busy.

Mr Bastuba, 12 Feb 06 The driver of bus was very unfriendly and unapproachable leaving from parking area to the terminal and was reluctant to answer questions.

Mr Milton, 25 Jan 06 Very good, have already told others of the excellent parking service.
