Arrival Procedure
Park outside Luton Airparks reception and check-in. Take a courtesy transfer to the airport whilst your car is safely parked for you. Due to the motorway widening works please allow up to 60 minutes for check-in and transfer to the airport.

Departure Procedure
Upon your return simply wait in the same place you were dropped off and the regular bus service will transfer you back to Airparks.

Notes

  • No mobile homes, lorries, caravans etc are permitted, even if multiple spaces are booked.
  • The car park is unable to carry bikes, surfboards, skies, canoes etc on their minibuses. These items must be dropped off at the airport first.
  • Your car will be checked by Airparks staff and digital, time-stamped photographs will be taken of any marks or damage.
PLEASE NOTE: Until Autumn 2008, the Highways agency will be carrying out road-works on the M1 which may affect customers going to Luton Airparks and Luton Airport. On some Saturday nights/Sunday mornings the road may be closed overnight. In all cases diversions/contra flows will be put in place which will still allow you to exit at Junction 10. If you are concerned that your travel times mean you will be affected , please either call the highways agency on 08457 50 40 30 or access their web site http://www.highways.gov.uk/traffic/traffic.aspx. The above works will also affect the final part of your journey to Airparks and the directions have changed to reflect this.

Airparks Luton Directions

  • FROM M1 (North & South)
  • Exit the M1 at Jct 10. At roundabout (over Motorway) take route towards Luton. At the next roundabout (Jct 10a), turn right for A1081 to St Albans/Harpenden *. After 500 yards take the next right (Newlands Rd) towards Slip End. Drive under the motorway and take the next left (B4540 - Church Rd) signposted to Slip End, drive up the hill. At the traffic lights turn right (Grove Rd). Take the first left into the service road and the entrance to Airparks Services is 100 metres on the right. Follow signs to reception arrivals area.
  • FROM A1(M)
  • Follow the A505 to Luton. At Luton follow signs for A505 and Luton Airport. At the roundabout with Vauxhall Motors on the right (left turn for Airport), proceed straight on, following signs for M1 and St Albans (A1081), which becomes dual carriageway. At the roundabout (Jct 10a) turn left for A1081 to St Albans, then follow the directions from * above.
  • Travelling from Dunstable direction, or from junction 9, "M1" along the A5, turn at the B4540, sign posted "Luton". When reaching the traffic lights turn left into Grove road, travel 100yards, then turn left, site is on the right.

PLEASE NOTE that roadworks to widen the M1 between junctions 6a and 10 are currently ongoing until the Autumn of 2008, and that occasional motorway closures may occur. We recommend that you check the Highways Agency website before travel to check whether this will directly affect you, and we recommend that you allow extra time for your journey in the event of congestion occurring as a result of the roadworks.
Should you find that a closure occurs when you are travelling, please follow the below alternative directions to Airparks Services.
  • Exit M1 J8 towards Hemel Hempstead.
  • Straight across 1st roundabout A414.
  • At next roundabout, take 1st exit onto A4147 St Albans.
  • Continue forward under M1 motorway towards outskirts of St Albans on A4147.
  • Roundabout take 1st exit A5183 towards Luton.
  • Keep on A5183 over several small roundabouts.
  • At roundabout adjacent M1 J9, follow A5 towards Dunstable (Markyate).
  • Approximately 3 miles, at lights turn right onto Luton Road (B4540).
  • At lights, turn left onto Grove Road.
  • After approximately 100 yards, turn left into the car park entrance.

40/50 Miss Hornby, 31 Mar 08 Really good overall value for money. Is a bit of a trek to the airport by coach, but the coaches are regular and there is plenty of room for luggage. Would use again.
Pros: Very cheap and relatively easy.
Cons: Transfer to airport is a bit of a pain.

45/50 Mrs Johnson, 29 Mar 08 Cheapest by far and provided an excellent service. Have used the long stay and it took longer to transfer than this site and they even parked my car for me. I was amazed.
Pros: Ease of drop off and quick transfer, no waiting at all, great value.

20/50 Miss J, 27 Mar 08 We had to wait 45 minutes to get our car back. The excuse given was that 4 cars were parked in front of it and the fact that it had been snowing! Absolutely no customer service skills. There were other customers there experiencing the same problem, one couple had been waiting for over an hour. Not what you need when all you want is to get home. when we finally got our car back, they hadn't validated the ticket allowing us through the security barrier, so then wasted more time just trying to get out of the place. Would not use again, as i'd prefer to pay more for a service that actually offers what it promises.

45/50 Mr Fortnam, 26 Mar 08 I've used the Luton Airparks a number of times now, and it's the best value for money, but it would be nice to see the staff smiling for a change...also i am sure the bus drivers take great pleasure in seeing customers struggling on and off the buses with heavy luggage...an offer of assistance would be nice, for a change...even so, i will still use it again!
Pros: Good price/ good transfer.
Cons: None.

25/50 Mr Gester, 02 Jan 08 Coming back on 29 Dec late evening there was a huge crowd waiting for the transfer bus, the driver was watching passengers struggling with luggage for a long time until he assisted with loading and stacking, borading the transfer bus took about 15 min until it was totally overcrowded.
Cons: Transfer not frequent enough and overcrowded.

45/50 Mr Williamson, 02 Jan 08 Arriving back to UK late evening on Boxing Day not knowing if there was an effective public transport system available, with planned strikes it was useful to have the convenience of the car. A few minutes wait at Airport, hop on a coach, collect key from reception and away. Uh huh! No, a dead battery (flat). Back to reception, go to car, open bonnet, man arrives with battery pack, 2 minutes and away. Thank you.
Pros: Least expensive, secure, drive & fly.
Cons: A few minutes to get to your car.

35/50 Mrs Davies, 06 Dec 07 Well worth the money, only on returning our car was not in the allocated place (as we had a long journey to N.Wales we were not amused) the car attendant was good but we found the reception staff not that friendly but alright we had an apology from the attendant but not reception staff but would certainly use the car park again.

45/50 Mr Scholes, 28 Nov 07 Our experience with this lot was both painless and effortless. There seems to be a healthy amount of transfer coaches, meaning we didn't have to wait at all going to or from the airport. They park your car for you and have it waiting for you when you arrive - checking in and out of the parking took about 5 seconds. Overall they do exactly what they say on the tin, you can park your car for cheap and they'll take you to and from the airport - I'm not sure why other reviews moaned so much!!
Pros: Speedy transfer to and from airport.

30/50 Mr Emms, 27 Nov 07 When we returned it was raining and our car had been parked right at the bottom of a field in about 6 inches of water! My daughter's shoes were ruined as she has to wade through this to get to the car. We then had a four hour trip to the North of England during which we had to try and dry her shoes and socks and her jeans were soaked almost up to her knees, therefore she was extremely uncomfortable. Wouldn't it be a better idea if they know a flight is due in if the cars for that flight are brought closer to their offices. Unfortunately we will not be using their services again because of this problem.
Pros: Value for money, efficient check-in, fast transfers.
Cons: Too far from airport, difficult collection on return.

50/50 Mr Wooffitt, 26 Nov 07 It was break of day, the staff were cheerful and helpful in the office and on the bus. Made a note of where we were dropped off and within 10 mins of exiting the arrivals lounge were on the bus back to car park. Thanks so much for making this a hassle free experience - will definitely use again and recommend to friends etc.

Cons: Limited shelter from rain at the airport when waiting for return coach.

35/50 Mr Morrison, 16 Nov 07 Quite an efficient operation, shame the cost is so high as all airport parking. A better explanation for exiting the car park as a number of drivers unsure resulting in impatience and a lot of honking-although once known couldn't be easier - just wave baccode on key fob at exit scanner and that's it!
Pros: Cheapest Car Parking at Luton.
Cons: Fair Distance from Airport.

45/50 Mr Grayson, 15 Nov 07 Good secure parking, friendly crowd behind the counter, a bit further than others from the airport, but not a problem since buses run frequently. Excellent value for money, I fly from Luton 4/5 times a year and I will use Airparks again.
Pros: Good service, quick pick up on arrival, excellent value, will use again.
Cons: No problems encountered, a few more signs to site would help.

45/50 Mr Bowes, 14 Nov 07 Ignore the moaners - Dropped the car off at 4.30 am...was at the airport and checked in by 5... Return journey just as simple...they are very well organised and it all runs like clockwork- USE your common sense though i.e. PUT a coat on while you wait for the return transfer as 5 mins in the freezing cold can feel like an hour!
Pros: Fast, cheap, efficient and convenient.
