When parking the car I realised it was quite a distance from the airport as they have changed the setup of the airport since the last time I parked there. I handed in my voucher and there was no offer of a transfer or taxi. I won't be parking in the Spa Hotel again.

when we booked with the spa hotel - we have previously booked three times - the instructions on the website say "within WALKING distance of the aiport". Non any more, you have to walk about a mile back up the road to the roundabout and back down to the airport. Not very good at all. We were promised on our return to Teesside airport that we could telephone the hotel and there would be someone to pick us up. It was only 6 pm and when we telephoned we were told that there was no-one on duty and we would have to walk back to the hotel, or get a taxi. They are going to have to lay on courtesy transport if they expect people to park there. See my email of 3rd March. Pauline Smith Northallerton holiday date 23.02.08/l.03.08

The parking and customer service was excellent, but when we arrived back we had to walk all the way round, about 30 mins walk, when we arrived at 12-30pm we could walk through st georges hotel but this was locked when got back.

We arrived at Teesside Airport at three in the morning having been diverted via Newcastle due to fog. My husband left me at the airport and walked through foggy deserted lanes in the dark to collect the car and found the experience very unnerving. Basically the Spa is too isolated late at night.

The parking facility was very good, but the 'short walk' to the terminal is over rough ground and we would recommend dropping off your party with the luggage at the terminal (you get 15 mins free) then going back to park the car and on your return send someone for the car while everyone waits at the terminal with the luggage. Apart from this it was a good facility and we would certainly use it again.

Difficult to find. No security. A 1/4 mile walk to terminal along old industrial site roads. For the extra £10 it would cost me I'll use the airport's own parking next time.

Not recommended if arriving/leaving in hours of darkness - especially for female/elderly passengers. 400+ yard walk (no alternative) through a dark, unlit trading estate to reach the airport. Hotel which owns the car park is locked and has unmanned reception overnight (intercom communication only). On return I was able to retrieve my car without any form of security or identity check.

Although there are signs for the hotel, they do not give a clear indication of the direction to take. At night, gate for the shortest route to the airport terminal is locked so 400m becomes 600m plus. Lighting and surface could be better. But keeping car keys is a bonus when leaving and it is much cheaper than other parking facilities.

DO NOT USE THIS PARKING SERVICE Parking is at a very rundown hotel in an industrial estate, no fencing, cameras or proper car parking spaces, you may have to park on grass around hotel, no security, no transfers, you have to walk through an industrial estate to get to the airport, you have to sign a disclaimer before you leave your car to say that they are not responsible for any lose or damage to your car, because of the limited time when you arrive at the parking area you dont have enough time to make any other arragements so you have to leave your car their even if you dont really want to. On return from holiday we picked up our car at 04.30am I walked past the office which had 2 members of staff inside, my husband walked round the edge of the parking space with the luggage they would not have been able to see him. The people in the office did not come out to speak to me or to see what we were doing, We loaded or car and drove away with out speaking to anybody. How did they know who we were and that it was our car we were taking. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS PARKING AGAIN.

Night porter didn't seem very interested in our arrival, and there was nowhere to hand in the form so we took it with us. Lighting and signposts to the airport were virtually non existent. it also didn't help that the hotel is not signposted from the road as stated. We were lucky and got the last actual parking space, everyone else had to park on the grass verge or anywhere they could.

Very badly sign posted, I only came across it by chance, when I arrived there were cars parked all over, luckily i found a space. The walk was more than 400 yards from airport, along a potholed road with no footpath and there were no directions from hotel to airport. Next time I will pay the extra and park at the front of the airport.

I arrived late at night and was met by a very helpful lady. Unfortunately there were no trollies, but the short walk to the terminal was easy to negotiate. The rates are very reasonable and I will certainly be a repeat customer.

The staff weren't very helpful and I had to spend 2 minutes hunting round to find the receptionist, who didnt seem very interested. There was no security at all, just a piece of tarmac outside a shabby hotel on the edge of the airport grounds. I was surprised my car was still there when we returned - not to be recommended.

Would recommend parking at the Spa Hotel basically because it is so near to the Airport. Customer Service was fine, explained how to get to the airport, etc. Transfers can't really rate as you practically walk 3 mins to the terminal. Price was OK. Will definitely use again.

The Spa Hotel is not signposted at the entrance to the airport, and is extremely difficult to find, particularly as you approach it from the rear and cannot see the name until you actually drive past it. Also, I found the 10 minute walk back to the parking a bit unnerving in the dark, along a deserted part of the airport. I would not want to have done this on my own.

You need to not follow the signs into the airport but the signs to a different hotel and the Spa Hotel is on the same road. (left at the first roundabout in airport grounds!) Also if you are arriving early leave time to navigate from the parking to the airport as the staff are still asleep!! However, overall a reliable and cheap service.

There was no customer contact whatsoever. I needed to see someone as there had been a change in my cirucmstances, yet I got told "ok" over the intercom and nobody would come out. It was the longest 400 meteres from the terminal ever. I would not use again.

When we arrived there was nobody on reception and we had to find someone in the restaurant to deal with us. The parking site is totally open to the public.

Its handy to be away from the main car park when a lot of flights come in together, but a long walk in the rain.

As mentioned there is no transfer to airport terminal, security is minimal if any i.e. no compound, difficult to find, no signs to hotel from entrance of airport or from terminal, no direct route from hotel to terminal; would be difficult if you had a lot of luggage and if it was raining you would get soaked. I would imagine there is very little light at night so would be very difficult. Only consolation is that it's cheap, but no guarantee that your car would be there when you return.
